Prevention for Organizations
All organizations that provide programming and services to children and youth should have policies and procedures in place to keep children safe from sexual abuse. An organization’s child protection policies should reflect the mission of the organization, as well as the types of programs/services provided, the location or locations where services occur, and the age and developmental needs of participants. Pat’s Place can provide guidance in the development of these policies.

Pat’s Place cannot address all possible programming interactions or scenarios that may arise. An organization’s child protection policies should be reviewed regularly and updated as needed. Policies should be reviewed and approved by the organization’s leadership, board of directors, and insurance provider.
