Everyone can be part of the solution: teachers, parents, aunts and uncles, community members and friends. Every adult has the power and responsibility to keep children safe, through five steps:

The past year has been challenging for the children and families we serve as well as our staff and partners. We have adapted and changed protocols to keep everyone safe so we may continue to provide forensic interviews, medical exams, advocacy support and counseling – all at no cost to children and their families.

While we adapted to the new normal the pandemic forced on us – the same cannot be said for children in our community, many of whom have been forced to stay home without access to teachers, friends and neighbors who help keep them safe.

The Everyday Heroes campaign will kick off in April — National Child Abuse Prevention Month — and aims to educate the community on what it takes to be a hero: courage.
